Heart and soul: your hostess, Charlotte Bleile
You could say Charlotte Bleile was born to be a restaurateur. Growing up in her parents' establishment in Laufen, the lively, spirited Charlotte learnt from an early age what it takes to run a restaurant.
This charismatic business woman has been successfully, and independently, running restaurants with energy and verve for more than 30 years now. She is known far beyond the city limits and has been making a respected name for herself in and around the Basel area. Her career in gastronomy took her from the Hermitage in the Bruderholz Quarter to the Casanova in the Spalen Quarter – and then on to the St. Alban-Stübli. She has been the heart and soul of the establishment since 1994, ably assisted by her seven-strong team.
